This Rufus Hummingbird is preparing to taste the pollen/honey from the honeysuckle flower. These plants are part of my previous backyard "hummingbird attraction area". Between the man made feeders and the natural feeders hummingbirds are regular visitors to my previous backyard. They usually show up mid-April and leave in September. People in Fruita, CO are in the normal migration pattern of the Rufus Hummingbird.
