Fireworks ignite the night sky after the July 3rd and July 4th Colorado Rockies baseball game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Colorado Rockies baseball club has a fantastic firework show to celebrate our independence and freedom at the games on or near the Fourth of July. Usually a full house for the game but really for the fireworks. The show that is put on is one of the best firework displays in the state. The fireworks are well choreographed with patriotic music.
The large Rockies sign is in left center field of Coors field and the fireworks are ignited behind the sign. The fans that are sitting in the outfield seats and the rockpile are escorted onto the field so they can watch the display. It takes about thirty minutes after the game ends to get everyone onto the field and then the show starts. It usually lasts about thirty minutes.
