A spectacled caiman glides through the water at a lake in Coronado, Panama. Patiently, this caiman searches for breakfast, scanning the water above and below. It is also known as a white caiman or a common caiman. It lives in a range of lowland wetland and riverine habitat types, and can tolerate salt water, as well as fresh; due in part to this adaptability, it is the most common of all crocodilian species.
