The sun sets over a Costa Rican peninsula and laser burns the reflection into a Panamanian beach. This picture was taken at Playa Barqueta, Panama. As the Pacific coast line bends around the sunset is able to be enjoyed by residents of both Costa Rica and Panama. This is a very isolated beach and is mostly visited by locals. This beach is about 25 km from David, Panama the major city in the area. During the week you can walk this beach for miles in either direction and never see another person, only seagulls, dolphin, sand crabs and other wildlife associated with the beach. This is a terrific place to "get away from it all." Or, just chillax.
