This is a reproduction of a 1957 postcard provided to passengers on the Continental Airlines DC-7B. The back of the cards states,"The Douglas DC-7B, America's finest, fastest airliner, flies Continental routes between, Chicago, Kansas City, Denver and Los Angeles. It has a cruising speed of 365 mph and is equipped with Weather Avoidance Radar. The cabin has the finest luxury appointments including a spacious five seat Club Lounge, also a unique Stag Smoker Lounge." It was the last major piston engine-powered transport made by Douglas Aircraft.
My parents collected postcards from all over the world and they were kept in a paper bag in no particular order. Staying home during the Covid quarantine has given me time to search through them and share some that I find interesting.
