Walking through the desert hills near Carefree, AZ these beautiful cactus plants surround the hiker. In this image there are prickly pear cactus, cholla cactus, and saguaro cactus. And probably more that I haven't seen or don't know their names.
The narrow trails through this desert environment cause the hiker to walk carefully and watchfully. Not only the wildlife of the desert, snakes, lizards, etc share the trails but, the cactus needles easily embed into your clothing and skin.
